In 1894, Friedrich Conrad Ermatinger and his wife Martha started their chocolate manufacturing in Schaffhausen, Switzerland. With their creations, quality, and life-long dedication, they were able to build up one of the most successful bakery and confectionery in Switzerland. 
During the World War II, Fritz, the son of Conrad and Martha Ermatinger took over this family business, and kept it growing with tireless diligence and innovation. In 2003, the visionary businessman, Mr. Marcel Tobler, bought Ermatinger's factory with his mission to take this best of the best Swiss Chocolate "Zuckerbäckerei Ermatinger" to the worldwide market, while using the same premium ingredients and century-long manufacturing procedures.
